Co-operation with the foreign intermediary (within EU)

The EU has developed the Insurance Mediation Directive (2002/92/EC), which aims to create a single market for qualified intermediaries. On this basis of the right for a foreign intermediary to establish a branch or on the basis of freedom to provide services in the Czech Republic the following applies: If you are registered as intermediary for the Czech Republic (according to quite simple notification procedure - see details below), we are able to pay you commissions directly without any problems or restrictions.

 

Without registration, you are legally not allowed to act as an insurance intermediary for Czech risks.

 

How to proceed the registration process:

 

We can only recommend you to fulfill the notification process as this one-off action gives you freedom and flexibility and we can pay you commissions during the whole duration of any policy.

Registration Procedure of Insurance Intermediaries

  1. to notify the competent authority in of your domestic State Authority of the intention to take up activity in the territory of the Czech Republic
  2. your domestic State Authority will inform the Czech state Authority about the above intention
  3. you are allowed to provide insurance intermediary service in the Czech republic 1 month after the date your domestic State Authority informed you the information duty in respect of the Czech national bank has been fulfilled

Cooperation with Allianz pojistovna, a.s. under contractual agreement

 

What to do to cooperate and to get the commission (only for Industrial/Commercial lines of business available):

  1. to proceed the registration process (see above)
  2. to sign the Cooperation Agreement with Allianz pojistovna, a.s.

If you think of intermediary activities on the territory of the Czech Republic, you have to fulfill the conditions of this Act (basically to notify supervisory authority in your country) - we think the process is not difficult, it only requires longer time for communication of authorities in different states and therefore it is necessary to start as soon as possible.
